Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Khan Baig has approved recruitment of Constables/Lady Constables for 14 districts of the province. The recruitment in the rest of the districts would be completed after six months because of the limited facilities available in the police training colleges.
The decision to this effect was taken during a high-level meeting held at the Central Police Office (CPO) under the chairmanship of IGP Punjab today.
According to details, the recruitment process would be started in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Attock, Sargodha, Mianwali, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Faisalabad districts.
The application forms for recruitment could be obtained from the district police headquarters (CPO/DPO Office) from August 31, 2013. 10, September 2013, will be the last date for the submission of applications forms. The candidates who had applied for the recruitment in May 2013 would have to submit new applications since the previous are considered cancelled. The department has also decided to advertise the recruitment in the newspapers.
It was also decided in the meeting that five percent quota for minorities, 15 percent for women and 10 percent for the ex-army men would be fixed. The meeting also decided that only those candidates would be eligible to appear in the written test and interview whose applications would be found complete and no concession would be granted to anybody in the prescribed standards.
