8 bomb disposal vans gifted by European Union to Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa are handed over to Civil Defence Punjab and KPK police in a graceful ceremony held at Police Training School Chunge, Lahore today.
The European Union Ambassador Mr. Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, to Pakistan was the chief guest of the ceremony.
While addressing on the occasion, he said that EU is not only helping Pakistan to combat terrorism but also trained them how to tackle the terrorism and curb the crime from the society. He further said that the European Union experts trained Pakistani Police officials about the safely transportation of bombs, to defuse them and to blast them when required.
DIG/Commandant, PTS Chunge, Mubashar Ullah and AIG Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Shafaqat Malik thanked the EU Ambassador for handing over these well equipped latest bomb disposal vans to the Government of Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Police.
