The PHP recovered 280 kg charas during a routine patrolling on Friday.
PHP Post Farooqabad, Sheikhupura, found an unattended Parado Jeep No 749-MX Islamabad standing at Jamkey. The doors of the said jeep were opened and key was also in the switch. On checking, the PHP found 16 bags of ideal chocolate. On opening 1 packet of chocolate, it was found that is was filled with charas.
The PHP took it in custody. After that, the said jeep was checked in the presence of Zahid Nawaz, ASP, Sadar Circle Sheikhupura and SHO of Police Station Sadar Sheikhupura, who recovered 224 packets of chars having 1 kg and 250 gm in each packet (total weight 280 kgs).
