SIALKOT, Jan 4: The Daska police busted a well-organised inter-district gang called Rashid alias Rashu Kaana Gang and arrested its ringleader and two other members.
Sialkot District Police Officer Afzaal Ahmed Kausar said this while talking to the media on Friday.
He said the gang had terrorised the region and was wanted by the police in 18 heinous cases. Those arrested included Rashid alias Rashu Kaana, Akram alias Shani and Abbas Nazir.
The police also recovered three vehicles, five motorcycles and a large quantity of illegal weapons from their possession.
Daska DSP Waseem Akhtar said the police had busted two other gangs also - Asad alias Asadi Gang and Asif alias Aasu Gang.
He said the Daska police arrested around 710 proclaimed offenders and traced five blind murder cases, and also recovered the loot, including valuables worth of Rs35 million.
