3 Afghan terrorists held, arms recovered

RAWALPINDI - Police have saved the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad from a major destruction by arresting three terrorists besides recovering lethal weapons and explosives material from Wah Cantt area here on Friday.
 
Police registered a case against the three terrorists under Anti-Terrorism Act, who are stated to be Afghan nationals, identified as Hijrat Gull, Najibullah and Mohibullah.
 
Police also recovered 2,230 grams of explosives material used in bomb-making, Russian made hand-grenades, detonator and remote control.
 
According to information, SHO Police Station Wah Cantt Zulfiqar Ali, on a tip-off, that three suspected persons were hiding in a forest adjacent to Gohodo old graveyard, conducted a raid.
 
SHO constituted a police party and nabbed three terrorists while seizing huge quantity of explosives material from their possession.  
 
The three terrorists were Afghan nationals who were making plan to target the sensitive installations in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, police officials said. Police is investigating.
