Sahiwal:The district police officer has ordered a crackdown on unregistered shops selling police’s and armed forces’ uniforms, say media reports.
DPO Syed Khurram Ali said he took the measure on the instruction of the Punjab government.
Dawn learned there are three registered shops in Sahiwal district where police personnel can buy uniform after showing their service card.
Muhammad Adnan, the owner of a registered outlet, said they sold uniforms after verifying the credentials of the buyers from the police station.
