Police arrest two cyber-criminals

BAHAWALPUR-The Bahawalpur police claimed to have arrested two youth on the cybercrime charges and seized fake cheque books, bank stamps, vouchers, Rs180,000 cash, computers, scanners and printers.

DPO Sohail Habib Tajik disclosed during a press-conference that investigation was underway for further details as Kamran Khan of Mohalla Islampur, Shahi Bazar and Waseem Ahmed of Maqbool Colony were involved in various cybercrimes.

He disclosed that the accused had hacked credit cards, bank accounts and other confidential details of various people including of some Germans, Franch, the US and the UAE citizens. Then, the DPO added, they started using the details of these accounts for dealing in with big companies and transferred amount of the deals to different accounts.

He said that the accused had confessed the crime.
