CCPO Meets Procession Licence-holders

LAHORE: CCPO Muhammad Amin Wains has said that a comprehensive security strategy has been evolved to ensure peace during the holy month of Muharram. The Lahore police chief said that additional police force would be called from the Punjab Constabulary to ensure massive deployment at the routes of Muharram processions on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashur.
 
The police chief stated this while addressing a meeting of the licence-holders Muharram procession and Majalis at the Police Lines on Monday. DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf and SP Headquarters were also present on this occasion besides all the divisional SPs.
 
The CCPO also directed the police to remain in close contact with the religious leaders and the licence-holders in the respective jurisdiction. The police are also asked to ensure complete ban the use of loudspeaker besides proper security deployment in the sensitive and most sensitive areas.
