LAHORE: DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf has ordered the SPs, DSPs and SHOs to sit together for devising a strategy to combat crimes and criminals for the protection of life and property of the citizen.
He said this while chairing a crime review meeting with the officers and officials of the Civil Lines and Cantt Divisions at the Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Tuesday.
He said the war on terror could not be won without the cooperation of the community. He warned that any SP, DSP or SHO who failed to deliver should find posting in some other city. SP Imtiaz Sarwar and SP Haroon Joiya were also present at the meeting. He appreciated the performance of DSP Qila Qaisar Mushtaq, SHO Qila Rizwan Latif and SHO Garhi Shahu Anwaar Saeed and admonished DSP Old Anarkali Ashraf Chadhar, SHO Lytton Road Asif Zulfiqar over not controlling the crimes and arresting the POs. He also issued a show cause notice along with the last warning to SHO Shalimar over the poor performance.
DIG Ops also admonished DSP Defence Circle Asim Iftikhar over his failure to control the bike thefts. The Show cause notice was issued to SHO Baghbanpura, SHO Hurbanspura and explanation was called from DSP North Cantt Mansoor-ul-Hassan.
