RAHIM YAR KHAN: DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha said on Monday that 1,985 security officials would be deputed to ensure law and order at 484 congregation sites on the Eidul Azha.
Chairing a meeting held to review arrangements for the Eid, Chattha said patrolling had been enhanced to check animal theft at markets.
He said 986 police volunteers would assist 1,017 policemen. He requested citizens to be vigilant and inform the police if they saw anything suspicious.
Investigations SP Sheraz Nazeer, SP Irfan Sumoon and all district SDPOs and SHOs attended the meeting.
