LAHORE : On the directions of DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf a special control room has been established to monitor the security of educational institutions in the provincial metropolis.
A police spokesperson said on Monday that security of all the educational institutions would be monitored through CCTV cameras and the monitoring would be carried out from the central control room.
Similarly, sub-control rooms are also being established in the offices of all the six divisional SPs, he added.
Lahore SP Security will be the in-charge of the control room established in the office of DIG (operations).
Haider Ashraf has also directed all the divisional SPs to visit educational institutions to review security measures and send a brief report to this office regarding security measures.
He also said that strict action would be taken against educational institutions in case of any irregularity in maintenance of security devises and police will also send a report to the city district government against such educational institutions.
