Direction to make police post operational

LAHORE, Feb 20: Capital City Police Officer Amjad Javaid Saleemi has issued instructions to the DIG Operations to make operational the Haer police post within a week which was given the status of a police station three months ago but could not operate due to shortage of resources.
 
According to a press release, he issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday.
 
The CCPO was informed that despite a notification, the Hear police post had not been made operational.
 
The CCPO directed SSP Admin Tariq Abbas Qureshi to transfer the surplus staff of various branches of the CCPO office to the Operations Wing to meet the requirement of staff.
 
The SSP Admin informed the meeting that services of over 30 police officials of various branches of the CCPO office would be placed at the disposal of the Operations Wing on Thursday (today) for posting at the Haer police station.
 
The meeting also reviewed the pace of construction of various police stations in Lahore, including Garhi Shahu, Township, Mustafa Town, Garden Town, Defence A and B and Lytton Road.
 
The CCPO directed the Inspector Development to visit one of the under-construction police stations every day to supervise construction work and submit a report to the SSP Admin.
