Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to install digital equipments on entry and exit points of the province. The step is being taken to intensify monitoring of these points to collect credible information regarding movement of outlaws, said Punjab Minister for Environment and Police Reforms Colonel ® Shuja Khanzada on Sunday.

He said current situation demands that no effort be spared by the law enforcement agencies in performing their duties in an efficient manner.

He said that use of digital technology would enable the police to perform its duties efficiently. He said that the Punjab government has directed police officers to personally remain present in the field for further improving security arrangements in the province. The minister said that strict checking of entry and exit points of the province be undertaken by using digital technology. He said that arrangements are being made to purchase necessary digital equipments without delay.

The minister appreciated the courage and bravery of officers and jawans of the police and law enforcement agencies which resulted in the success of the operation against terrorists in Pind Araian and said that security forces have displayed extreme professionalism for thwarting nefarious designs of terrorists.
