PO wanted in 100 cases arrested

Bahawalpur, Feb 21: Uch Sharif police claimed to have arrested a criminal wanted in around 100 cases of inter-district crimes, including murder, robbery and attempt to murder, in southern Punjab.

The police stated Hazoor Bakhsh alias Yara Bagar was the ringleader of Bagar gang that had been active in various crimes for years in several districts of southern Punjab.

He was arrested on a tip-off that he had planned a felony in the area. His second-in-command, Afzal Bagar, was killed in a police encounter during an attempted robbery near Zahir Pir in Rahim Yar Khan district.

Police claimed Hazoor Bakhsh’s wanted gang members included Khadim Bagar, Ayyaz alias Ayyaz and Mukhtiar alias Kali Bagar, who had been involved in several cases of rape in the area.
