The raids were carried out in the seminaries belonging to both Sunni and Shia sects under the National Action Plan (NAP).

The police issued advisory letters to administration of the seminaries, warning  them against giving admission to any student without complete documents or allowing any unconcerned person to stay there.

Meanwhile, police checked hotels and guesthouses and took action against eight persons out of 31 suspects who had failed to produce their identity papers. Police also registered two cases under Foreigners Act and sent the two persons to jail.
