Two blind murders resolved

GUJRANWALA: The police claimed to have resolved two blind murders here.
Addressing a press conference at his office here on Wednesday, Sadr SP Syed Karar Hussain said that Aish Khan had lodged a complaint with the Kamoke Sadr police that armed bandits had killed his nephew Riasat Ali and injured Muhammad Idrees near Mari Thakran Bridge when he was going with his partner Muhammad Idrees.

He said that CPO Muhammad Waqas Nazir constituted a team led by DSP Rahat Chishti, SHO Sarfraz, SI Tahir Mahmood and ASI Noor Khan to investigate the case. He said that they interrogated the injured Muhammad Idrees who later confessed to killing Riasat Ali.

He said that they had recovered weapon of offence from him. The SP disclosed that Adnan, who worked at the dera of Farhan Khan at Bharoke Cheema, Wazirabad, had been missing with five buffaloes. He said that Farhan got registered a theft case against Adnan, but his father Aslam complained that his son had been murdered after kidnap. He said that CPO Muhammad .Waqas Nazir formed a team that worked on scientific lines and arrested Adnan, son of Rashid, and Asif, son of Ismail, who confessed to killing Adnan and selling five buffaloes.

The Sadr SP also claimed to have busted four dacoit gangs and recovered booty, including cash, gold ornaments and motorcycles, worth millions of rupees. He said that the dacoits had committed robberies in Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Gujrat and Sheikhupura.

He said that three Kalashnikovs, 11 rifles, 62 pistols and three revolvers and live rounds had been recovered from outlaws. He added that the Sadar police had arrested 11 drug pushers and recovered 19,343 grams of charas, 4155 grams of heroin and 427 litres of liquor. The SP claimed that they had arrested 96 proclaimed offenders and court absconders.
