LAHORE: Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a four-member gang involved in robbery and theft cases in separate areas of the city.
According to a press release, a police team, led by Chuhng SHO Javed Siddique, carried out raids in the area and arrested four members of Naji Gang, including its ringleader Nazir alias Khurrum alias Naji. His accomplices were identified as Asif, Karamat and Sabir. Police also recovered 16 motorcycles, 10 mobile phones, three watches, gold ornaments, cash and illegal weapons from them.
The suspects confessed to 35 robberies in the areas of Chuhng, Sattukatla, Nawab Town, Sabzazar, Manga Mandi, Mustafa Town, Iqbal Town, Green Town, Township, Raiwind, Sundar and Sherakot. All the arrested robbers were proclaimed offenders.
