NAROWAL, Dec 28: Police claimed on Wednesday to have smashed two dacoits’ gangs and arrested their eight members.
This was started by Narowal District Police Officer Malik Sakander Hayat Awan while addressing a press conference here. On Oct 24, he said, some dacoits had entered the house of Fazal Mahmood of Pindi Umra Village in Shakargarh police precincts, and killed a person namely Javaid Ahmed and injured Muhammad Sarfraz.
He said the police had traced out the robbery and arrested ringleader Nisar alias Goga of Sialkot and his accomplices Mumtaz Ahmed, Masood Ahmed, Muhammad Nasir and Ansar Ali.
The DPO said the police busted another gangs involved in a dacoity at the house of Muhammad Riaz of Dhamthal Village in Zafarwal police precincts on June 5 this year. They had killed Muhammad Riaz. He said the police arrested ringleader Imtiaz alias Heera and his accomplices Raiz Ahmed and Amer Ali.---Correspondent
