LAHORE - A Dubai-return trader who was kidnapped on Sunday was rescued by police officials from a house in Gulshan Ravi area where culprits tortured him.
It is learnt that Waseem, a UAE-return trader, went to dine out along with his friends where accused kidnapped him on gun-point and took him to a house in Gulshan Ravi area.
Mustafa, the father of the kidnapped trader namely Waseem, lodged FIR with Gulshan Ravi police station, requesting police for recovery of his son. Police recovered him from a house in Gulshan Ravi area after an informant told them about accused and their place.
Police claimed that they also took the accused in custody. They said that the trader was kidnapped by a lawyer namely Asim advocate. Asim once got registered a case against Waseem with Qila Gujjar Singh Police but he was set free as police declared him innocent in investigation, they said.
