LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar has ordered the police to speed up the crackdown on proclaimed offenders living abroad and develop liaisons with the FIA and Interpol to cancel their passports. He said this while meeting ASIs under the “Meet the Force” project aimed at improving protection of citizens at the Central Police Office on Saturday.
He said the intelligence-based operations should be increased to eradicate the scourge of drugs and bring the drug dealers to justice. He directed the investigating officers to bring the cases to their logical conclusion by using modern technology. He said the department was dealing with promotion-related matters on a priority basis and all personnel were being given their rights.
