Inspector Iqbal Khan received five bullets in  encounter with the proclaimed offenders, the jawans wrapped him in a sheet and took him down the hill.
On returning from the mountain after four and a half hours, Inspector Iqbal Khan's smile and victory sign were announcing victory.
IG Punjab along with caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi inquired about  Inspector Iqbal Khan on the occasion of his visit to Mianwali.
Iqbal Khan, who was recruited as a constable in the Punjab Police, has reached the rank of Inspector in forty years of service.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has paid rich  tribute to Ghazi SHO  Inspector Iqbal Khan of Mianwali Police  for his undying display of courage and bravery in the fight against dangerous proclaimed offenders.  IG Punjab said that the spirit of a brave and dutiful officer like Inspector Iqbal Khan is an example for the entire force.
According to the details, Inspector Iqbal Khan is serving as SHO in Pir Pahai Mianwali police station these days. On secret information, Inspector Iqbal Khan went to the mountain with his team to arrest the dangerous proclaimed offenders involved in the dual  murder.  In the exchange of firing, Inspector Iqbal Khan received five bullets on his leg, but he continued to fight bravely. Inspector Iqbal Khan was wrapped in a sheet by the policemen and brought down from the mountain after four and a half hours.  On returning from the mountain, Inspector Iqbal Khan's smile and victory sign was announcing victory.  IG Punjab sent a congratulatory message to Inspector Iqbal Khan from Saudi Arabia for his eternal display of bravery and duty and also visited Inspector Iqbal Khan in the hospital on the occasion of his visit to Mianwali along with Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi.  Recruited as a constable, Iqbal Khan has reached the rank of inspector with his hard work and dedication in his 40 years of service.  These days he is undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital Lahore and his determination and spirit is high.   A special video has been released on social media by IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar paying tribute to Inspector Iqbal Khan.
