IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar is actively engaged for the welfare of police force
On the instructions of IG Punjab, the Police Welfare Management Committee released more than 61 lakh rupees for medical expenses to 23 personnel.
The said amount has been given to the officials of Lahore, Sargodha, Jhang, Multan, Rawalpindi, Vehari and other districts for medical expenses.
Sub-inspector of Rawalpindi Mukhtar  Hussain was given Rs 10 lakh for bone marrow transplant.
Head Constable of Khanewal Mohammad Ishaq was given Rs 15 lakh for his daughter's cancer treatment.
Kasur sub-inspector Jamal Naseer Khan and constable Majid Abbas were given five lakh rupees each for cancer treatment.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has been taking priority measures for the welfare of the police force, especially the constabulary, and in this regard, on the instructions of the IG Punjab, the Police Welfare Management Committee has given 61 lakhs to 23 personnel for medical expenses.  DIG Welfare Punjab Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin said that in the first meeting held this month, 51 lakh 94 thousand rupees was approved to pay the medical bills of 19 officials, while in the second meeting, 9 lakh 48 thousand rupees were  given to pay the medical bills of 04 officials.  The said amount has been given to the officials of Lahore, Sargodha, Jhang, Multan, Rawalpindi, Vehari and other districts for medical expenses.
According to the details, Rawalpindi sub-inspector Mukhtar Hussain was given 10 lakh rupees for bone marrow transplant, Khanewal head constable Muhammad Ishaq was given 15 lakh rupees for daughter's cancer treatment, while Kasur sub-inspector Jamal Naseer Khan and constable Majid Abbas were given  05  lakh  rupees per person.   In the same way, the rest of the officials have been sanctioned different amounts of assistance according to their cases which they have received.  DIG Welfare Ghazi Salahuddin further said that under the direction of IG Punjab, meetings of the Welfare Management Committee are being held regularly, all possible relief is being given to the officials by acting without delay on the requests coming from all over the province.  He said that the best welfare of the force is the first priority of IG Punjab for which priority measures will continue.
