IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to complete the operation successfully by wiping out the hidden dacoits in the Katcha areas.

On the instructions of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Rajanpur police's Katcha operation continued on the 54th day and the police teams are carrying out continuous advance and targeted operations along with eliminating the hideouts of criminals in the Katcha area. Dr. Usman Anwar directed to complete the operation successfully by wiping out the hidden dacoits in the Katcha areas. He urged that the police should devote all their energies and resources to make Katcha completely peaceful and eliminate criminals, dacoits and terrorists as well as their facilitators.
According to Spokesman of Punjab Police 07 dacoits have been killed in Rajanpur Katcha operation so far, 43 dacoits including 25 surrendered have been arrested, 9 hostages have been rescued. Police forces under the command of RPO Dera Ghazi Khan are advancing towards Mauza Mandhri and Chak Kadia. The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that Mandhri and Chak Kadia have been completely surrounded while heavy firing and fierce resistance is going on from the Katcha dacoits. DPO Rajanpur said that the area of Mandhri and Chak kadia is considered to be the stronghold of dacoits and criminals and they would be eradicated from the said area and the rule of law would be maintained. RPO Captain Retired Sajjad Hasan Khan said that the ongoing operation in Rajanpur Katcha has entered its final stages, the police have established their camps and check posts in the cleared areas and will soon give the gift of lasting peace to the people of the area.
