Over Rs650,000 released for cops’ medical treatment

LAHORE: Funds of more than Rs650,000 were released for medical treatment of the employees serving in Punjab Police in different districts, including Lahore. According to the details, ASI Qadeer Akhtar of Multan was given Rs200,000 for brain surgery. Langri Shahzad Hussain of the Central Police Office was given Rs150,000 for the treatment of his wife's illness. Constable Adnan Hussain of Jhelum was given Rs100,000 for the treatment of his wife. Inspector Muhammad Akram of Lahore was given Rs100,000 for the treatment of his wife's liver disease and stroke, whereas Rawalpindi sub-inspector Muhammad Rafaqat Khan was given Rs100,000 for the treatment of his wife's cancer. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar released the above mentioned funds after scrutiny and approval of the committee headed by Additional IG Welfare and Finance Riaz Nazir Gara.
