Traffic rules violators to face music: CTO

RAWALPINDI: Traffic Wardens have been directed to take strict action against wrong parking of vehicles.
 
According to city traffic police spokesman, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz has issued directives for strict action against violators of traffic rules and wrong parking of vehicles on city roads and to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
 
He said that all efforts are being made to regulate smooth flow of traffic and urged the citizens to cooperate with city traffic police so that traffic problems could be resolved and people could be facilitated regarding smooth flow of traffic on city roads.
 
Strict action in accordance with the law has been ordered against wrong parking of vehicles and motorcycles. Enhanced number of traffic wardens have been deployed at busy roads of city to clear parking while lifters are also available to lift vehicles and motorcycles parked in a wrong way. He further said that wrong parking, which is one of main cause of traffic mess on the city roads would not be tolerated adding that the vehicles and motorcycles found parked out of parking areas would be impounded in the police stations.
