DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf has directed SP, Iqbal Town, Dr Iqbal to expedite crackdown on drugs pushers and proclaimed offenders. He issued these directions while chairing a crime review meeting with the officers and officials of Iqbal Town division.
The DIG said every official ranking from beat officer to SP will be responsible for the arrest of proclaimed offenders. He directed SP and DSPs to ensure use of android phones provided to beat officers. Dr Haider said vehicles and bikes have been provided as per need and it should be used against criminals. The DIG directed cops to respond to 15 calls without any delay. He appreciated SHOs on good performance and reprimanded others over poor performance.
Dr Haider directed the SP to hold weekly crime review meeting with SHOs to devise patrolling plan according to the trend of crimes.
