No leniency for traffic violators, says CTO

Mar 07, 2012

Our Staff Reporter - LAHORE – Stringent action will be initiated against lenient and negligent traffic officers, if they are found guilty while discharging professional duties, the Lahore Chief Traffic Officer SSP Sarfaraz Ahmed Falki said on Tuesday.

The CTO has directed the circle officers and sector in-charges to ensure complete compliance of his orders regarding ban on vehicles with black windscreens, blue headlights and green number plates.

He ordered traffic wardens to adopt moderate behavior especially when dealing with the traffic violators and general public but it does not mean to spare them in any sense. “You are bound to take indiscriminate action against those, involved in signal jumping, signs breaking, and over-speeding etc,” Falki said.

However, he requested to the citizens to maintain legal documents of their vehicles and licenses in order to avoid any kind of inconvenience while driving on the City roads.
