LAHORE: The CIA Sadar Police on Tuesday arrested top ten proclaimed offenders involved in various robberies in well-known bakeries across the city as well as the province.
The accused, identified as Rashid of Faisalabad, also the ringleader of the gang, was involved in more than 50 robberies in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujarnwala and other cities of the province. CIA Sadar DSP Anwar Saeed said that police had also arrested four members of this gang who are in jail; however, ringleader Rashid was underground for the past few months.
He said the police team, on a tip off, raided in Okara city where they managed to arrest Rashid successfully. He said that the gang used to enter the bakeries as customers and then escape after looting them. He said that the gang members looted millions of rupees from different bakeries of the city.
