Additional IGP bade adieu

LAHORE - Additional inspector general of police Sohail Khan yesterday got retirement from service after reaching the age of superannuation.

The officer was working as head of the welfare and finance department of the Punjab police. The department arranged a farewell ceremony at the central police office to pay tributes to the officer.

Speaking on this occasion, IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera said that honest and diligent police officers and officials are pride of police department. “Sohail Khan has set an example for the department through his honest, assiduous and devoted services,” he added.

The provincial police chief paid rich tributes to the officer stating that Khan has been one of the most professional and courageous police officers.

Senior police officers including Dr Arif Mushtaq, Usman Khattak, Arif Nawaz, Amjad Javed Saleemi, Roy Muhammad Tahir, Amin Wains, Hussain Asghar, Faisal Shahkar, Muhammad Tahir, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, Farooq Mazhar, Waseem Sial, and Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir were also present on this occasion besides others.
