Nov 30, 2016

LAHORE - Punjab IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has warned RPOs and DPOs to get ready to receive show-cause notices in case they failed to transfer accountants serving in their ranges and districts beyond two years.

The IGP stated this while addressing to a video link RPOs conference held at Central Police Office on Tuesday. The IG said show-cause notices will be served to those RPOs and DPOs where any accountant is found working in the same office for more than two years. He clarified the duration of an accountant’s post at any office is already set to a limit of two years.

He directed the officers concerned to implement the transfer and posting orders through Human Resource Management System without any delay.

Letters of displeasure and show-cause notices should be issued to those Officers who fail to comply with the orders.

He said character and service record of the officials should be checked through Human Resource Management System to deploy them as Station House Officer. SHOs should not be transferred shortly without solid reasons.

While directing Regional and District Police Officers, IGP said province-wide operation against criminals should be turned into a campaign and all resources should be utilised to the best to apprehend robbers and other criminals.

The IGP said data of the persons, who come to meet the professional criminals locked up in jails, should also be maintained so that in case of their involvement in any criminal activity, leaving the area or disappearance, they could be traced through their acquaintances backing them.

Mushtaq Sukhera said the project of establishing front desks in remaining police stations of Punjab must be operational by 1st January, 2017 as required equipment is already sent to those police stations. I shall personally visit the districts from the first week of December to check the operational status of front desks and their performance, the IGP added.

Police officers should equally take interest in promotion cases of police officials as they show concern about their own promotion cases.

Promotion board meetings should be called as soon as possible and there should be no delay in preparation of promotion cases of police officials.

The IGP directed police officers to maintain a close contact with force, take special interest in solving their issues and to take all measures to improve their life standards. The IGP suggested listening 25-30 subordinates on daily basis and trying to solve their issues as possible because it is not possible to yield required results without giving them sense of kindness.

CCPO and all Regional and District Police Officers participated in the conference through a video link and other officers were present in the meeting.
