LAHORE: Police conducted mega search operation in the provincial metropolis keeping in view threat alerts, especially at missionary schools.
Dozens of suspects have been arrested to avert any untoward incident.
Rangers and police conducted search operation at Lahore College for Women University. The students were allowed to enter the institution after thorough search.
DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf directed divisional SPs to conduct search operations in their respective divisions, especially at bus stands, inns, hotels, railways stations and rented houses on daily basis.
During search operation, police registered cases against 26 persons under sections 55/109 of PPC, over keeping illegal weapons and over violation of tenancy act. Police also checked several suspected persons who failed to prove their identity. They were shifted to unknown location.
