TOBA TEK SINGH: A Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) team arrested on Thursday two alleged terrorists and recovered from their custody explosive material.
Sameeullah of Gujranwala and Muhammad Shahzad of Rahim Yar Khan belong to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban’s Jamaatul Ahrar group and they have been shifted to undisclosed place for investigation.
The LEAs claim that the two men had a plan to prepare a suicide jacket with two kilogram explosive material and detonators which they had concealed in a plastic bag. They were arrested at a deserted place near Forest Park on Toba-Jhang Bypass Road.
Sources said bomb disposal staff defused the explosive material.
