IGP orders to intensify crackdown against criminals

Lahore: Provincial Police Officer Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman Khattak on Tuesday directed all field formations to further intensify crackdown against criminals and ensure protection of life and property of citizens. 
He further directed them to utilize all energies and resource to maintain law and order in all districts of the province especially for upcoming Ramadan ul Mubarak. 
Khattak was addressing the region police officers and districts police officers through video link at the Central Police Office. 
The present on the occasion were Additional IG Arif Nawaz, Amjad Javed Saleemi, Ejaz Hussain Shah, Shoaib Dastgir, Mohsin Hassan Butt, Azhar Hameed Khokhar and others. 
The IG directed the field officers to provide security to the staff of census and enumerators during the upcoming second phase of census. 
He congratulated all field officers for ensuring foolproof security on the occasions of Good Friday and Easter. 
Khattak further directed the officers to extend cooperation to district administrations to take action against boarders and profiteers before and prepare security plan for Ramadan ul Mubarak. 
He asked for starting security preparation for appointing police staff at Masajids and Imam Bargahs and effective patrolling mechanism during Fajar, Maghrib and Traveeh prayers. 
The IG also ordered to secure Ramadan Bazars by using metal detectors and walk through gates. 
Regarding traffic wardens, Khattak directed the officers to ensure participation of officers and officials in training courses and also send complete ACRs of lower subordinate up to the rank of Inspector to the CPO for promotions.
