LAHORE: Counter-Terrorism Department team Rawalpindi, on a tip off, conducted a raid at Ranyal, Chakri Road, Pindi, and arrested a terrorist namely Mohammad Hafeez s/o Mohammad Aslam.
The terrorist is found to be affiliated with the banned TTP. The CTD team also recovered explosives, safety fuse wire and non-electric detonators.
The terrorist was carrying these items to carry out an act of terrorism in Rawalpindi on a religious gathering. A case FIR no.39 dated 6.12.17 under Section 4/5 ESA 7 ATA PS CTD Rawalpindi has been registered against the culprit. Further investigation is under way to get more information about his plans.
