LAHORE: A darbar in the honour of 134 recently promoted sub-inspectors from the rank of assistant sub-inspectors was conducted at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines on Monday.
The darbar was presided by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains. Operations DIG Dr Haider Ashraf, Investigations DIG Chaudhry Sultan, Security DIG Dr Mon Masood, Admin SSP Rana Ayyaz Salim and Headquarters SP Atif Nazeer were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Wains said that it was for the first time in the history of Lahore Police that 134 ASIs were promoted as sub-inspectors in a go. He appreciated Admin SSP Rana Ayyaz Salim for his efforts in this regard. “2,700 police officials have been promoted in a year and half by the team of Salim,” he added.
He said that promotion was a memorable day in the life of every person. “Every officer should regard his duty for this blessing and the best way to thank God is to serve its creation; human beings,” he added.
He hoped that recently promoted police officers would serve the country whole-heartedly. He said that the crime had decreased drastically during 2017 and the law and order situation would further improve this year.
Salim while speaking on the occasion said that all 2,700 officials were promoted according to vision of CCPO Amin Wains. “I congratulate them on their promotion,” he added.
