248 criminals arrested by Punjab Highway Patrol

LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 248 suspects, including 100 proclaimed offenders (PO), and seized 403 bottles of liquor, 820 liters alcohol, 8,388 gram charas, 1,775 grams heroin, 800 kg stolen wood, 500 kites, illegal weapons during January, 2018. According to the PHP spokesperson, PHP teams stopped a suspicious tractor trolley and seized 800 kg of stolen wood. They also arrested Irfan and Imran. Patrolling police arrested a person, Rukhsar Ahmad, and sezied from him 500 kites and 20 rolls of kite flying twine. PHP teams arrested 100 proclaim offenders and 14 court absconders, included Ahmad Ali, M Faisal, Anas Abbas, Sabir Hussain, M Allah Nawaz, Dilawar, Mahbob, Arshad, M Ramzan, Saeed, M Ahsan, M Yousaf, Zulfiqar, Nazir, M Waqas, Sajjad, Raja Junaid, M Ramzan, M Afzal, M Sharif, Zaman Ali, Qaiser, Kali, Shakeel, M Irfan, Ghulam Rasool, Nadeem Hussain, Amjad Hussain, Ghulam Gaus, Gull Nawaz, Ijaz, Amir Shahzad, Shabir Hussain, Sikander, Yasir, Sher, Sharafat, Farooq and Mudasar. Similarly, PHP teams arrested 77 suspects including, Nazeer, Sajjad, Khuram, Pervaiz, Saeed, Arshad, Akhtar Hussain, Shakeel, Jamshaid Shah, Sana Ullah, Zafar Iqbal, Tariq Hussain, Riaz, Talib Hussain, Riaz, Jameel, Sharafat, Qadir Khan, Maqsood, Nazeer, Aslam, Adnan, Ashfaq, Jabbir, Adnan, Irfan, Istan, Imran Shahzad, Liaqat Ali, Abdul Rehman, Saiful Malook and seized 403 bottles of wine, 820 liter liquor, 8,388 gram charas, 1,775 grams heroin from their possession. PHP teams also arrested 54 suspects including Shoaib, Sajid, Mahbob, Ijaz, Aziz Ahmad, Azhar Abbas, Yaqoob, Atif, Arif, Shahbaz, Dilshad, Azhar Ali, Arshad, Noor Ahmad, Akbar, Sajjad Hussain, Pervaiz, Shahzad, Qasim, Tariq Mehmood, Adnan, Iqbal, Shaukat, Ab. Rehman, Riaz, Qaiser Abbas, Aslam, Mehmood Ahmad and Rasheed for weapons possession. A total of 46 handguns, four rifles, six guns, 2 kalashnikovs, and 317 bullets were seized from their possession. The PHP teams also reunited five children with their families. Their names are: Usman, Iram Masih, Osama, Hussnain and Afzala.
