CITY DIVISION investigation police claimed to have arrested four accused and recovered Rs 1.1 million and other valuables from them. Addressing a press conference at police station Lower Mall here on Tuesday, SP City Syed Qarar Hussain said that special police team were taking action against the criminals to maintain law and order.
He said that police team of Misri Shah circle had arrested a accused Sufyan Ali, involved in a a murder case, the SP said and added that three accused Waqas, Hassan and Basit of a gang have also been arrested by Islampura police. The police have also recovered two pistols, six motorcycles, Rs 800,000 and other valuables form them, the SP added.
He said the accused have confessed more than 42 crime incidents during initial investigation, whereas further interrogation was in progress. However, SSP Investigation Mubashir Mekan has announced commendatory certificates and cash reward for the raiding police team.
