LAHORE: The family of a former senior police officer reportedly survived an armed attack in cantonment division here on Tuesday.
According to initial information, the wife and daughter of former additional inspector general of police Chaudhry Manzoor were travelling by car. When they reached near Ali Park in the jurisdiction of South Cantt police station, unidentified armed men opened fire on them and fled from the scene.
The women and their driver escaped unhurt, police said, adding that a case had been lodged against the unidentified assailants.
A senior police officer, however, suspected the attack was a result of a property dispute in the family.
