Two ‘TTP terrorists’ held with explosives

BAHAWALPUR: The counter terrorism department on Monday claimed to have arrested two alleged terrorists belonging to banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from the Northern bypass on Jhangiwali Road.

According to a CTD spokesman, the suspects, Aslam Khan and Saleem Khan were arrested in a raid. He added they were planning attack on a sensitive installation near the city.

The CTD also claimed to have recovered explosives from their possession and booked them under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

The suspects were shifted to an unknown place for interrogation. The CTD said further investigation was in progress.
