Inspector General police Punjab captain (R) Arif Nawaz Khan has said that a special attention should be given to security of mosques Imam Bargahs shrines worship places of minorities courts educational institutions and other important buildings and installments and also DPOs should constitute security plan of the above places in the light of security audit reports of Central police office and also monitor the whole plan efficiently. He added that on the event of Shab e Miraj CCPO Lahore all RPOs and DPOs should focus on security plan and ensure deployment of snipers over roofs of mosques and Imam Bargahs. Moreover QRF patrolling should also be arranged in vicinity of these places while commandos should be preferred for this duty. He further said that crackdown campaign against proclaimed offenders who were found in crimes of dacoity murders ransom and other heinous crimes should be boosted up in all districts of Punjab. He said that criminals found in cases of women and child abuses should be investigated on scientific based technology so that enemies of humanity may meet their final destination. He added that All IT based projects like front desk police service center should be monitored without fail so that citizens may seek benefits from these IT based reforms.
He said that absconsion from police custody and also death during police torture shall not be tolerated at all and a strict action will be taken against liable persons. He expressed these views while addressing to video link conference of all RPOs and DPOs of province. In this video link conference all RPOs and DPOs briefed IG Punjab about situations of crimes and steps being taken to control these crimes taken by police force of their respective regions and districts. IG has directed to all DPOs to take actions against aerial firing and send recommendations to Home department for cancelation of licenses of weapons without any indiscrimination so that their license got to be canceled for satisfaction of people. IG Punjab has said that a mutual cooperation of parents school management and notables of areas, steps should be taken to curb women and child sexual abuses so that society may be purged from these criminals. He added that habitual, professional criminals and A category criminals should be arrested with comprehensive steps and should furnish weekly report about their arrest to CPO office. IG Punjab has directed officers to keep a vigilance over dubious persons and conduct search sweep combing and Intelligence based operations. He said that patrolling force hours around educational institutions and courts should be increased and cases should be registered against criminals of aerial firing and who violate loud speaker act. He directed to officers for refresher courses to enhance capacity building of force. He directed all DPOs to supervise welfare related cases themselves and solve problems of officials by arranging Police Darbars with immediate effect and also ensure to hold orderly room regularly. IG Punjab has said that all DPOs should hold meetings with judicial forums and also ensure attention to financial management issues. He moreover said that to protect wealth and lives of people is prime responsibility of Punjab Police therefore anti riot force under supervision of master trainers shall be formed to secure properties and lives of people during protests sits in and demonstrations and all time ready squads should be on high alert.
