SIALKOT: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested a suspected terrorist near a recreational park in China Chowk locality.
Senior CTD officials claimed that a team from Gujranwala conducted a raid on a tip-off and caught the suspect red-handed, as he was allegedly planning an attack in Gulshan Iqbal Park or some other location in the city.
The officials identified the suspect as Nadeem Ahmed Butt whom they said belonged to Al Qaeda’s Umer Kundi Group. Explosive material and safety fuse were also seized from his possession. The CTD sent the suspect behind bars after registering a case against him.
