Inspector General of Police Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi conducted a surprise visit to Old Anarkali Police Station here on Friday.
After visiting PS Old Anarkali, the IG held a meeting at the Central Police Office and directed officials to ensure better working environment in police stations in the province and also ensure implementation of SOPs issued already in this regard.
The IG especially directed the AIG Admin and Discipline to issue directions to all field officers to improve working conditions of police stations with proper monitoring.
He said that special attention should be given to cleanliness in police stations and directed officers to pay surprise visits.
The IG also ordered for providing clean drinking water so that officials might be avoided from diseases. He said that additional funds had been provided in this regard.
Additional IG Operations Punjab Azhar Hameed Khokhar, DIG Establishment Sajjad Hassan Manj, DIG Head Quarters Babar Bkaht Qureshi, AIG Discipline Zubair Dareshak, AIG Admin Asad Faraz and AIG Inspection Faisal Mukhtiar with other senior officers were also present.
