Two leather merchants held for triple murder

SIALKOT: Police on Sunday arrested two brothers, stated to be leather traders, for killing a Kasur-based leather trader, his son and their driver over a money dispute here on Saturday.

Inspector Usman Javaid, SHO of Satrah police station, told newsmen that Muhammad Niaz, his son Ahmed Niaz and their rented car driver Muhammad Fiaz reached Sialkot for getting their money (about Rs 2 million) from their business clients Messar Hussain and Mudassar Hussain.

The accused brothers, after an exchange of hot words, asked some of their factory workers to tie the three with ropes. After brutal torture, they strangled them.

The inspector said the Hussain brothers had confessed to killing the three over money dispute with the help of their workers.

Later, they put their bodies in their car and left the vehicle on Eimanabad Road near village Dharam.

The SHO said raids were on to arrest workers who had abetted the murders.
