IG Punjab, Amjad javed Saleemi took notice of death of a person at police station Kukrali Gujrat, SHO and Muharrar have been suspended, A committee has been formed containing 1 SP and 2 DSPs for the investigation of matter.
According to the details, an application was received against the person who died at police station Kukrali that he had taken eight Lac rupees from a person but didn't return. Police called this person to police station for investigation where he died.
Under the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab Amjad javed Saleemi, DPO Gujrat Syed Ali Mohsin took quick action and suspended SHO and Muharrar of Kukrali Police Station. The DPO also constituted an inquiry team containing SP investigation Gujrat, DSP Seraey Alamgir and DSP Sadar circle, which investigated the matter and presented his report to IG Punjab Amjad javed Saleemi, upon which IG Punjab issued orders of suspension of DSP Kharian after proving professional misconduct, negligence and carelessness in his official duties.
