A ceremony of rank fastening to promoted officers was held at central police office Lahore. Chief Secretary Yusuf Naseem Khokhar and IG Punjab Amjad javed Saleemi fastened ranks to two Additional IGs and eight DIGs.
A prestigious ceremony was held to award ranks to two additional IGs and eight DIGs who recently got promoted at central police office Lahore. Chief Secretary Yusuf Naseem Khokhar and IG Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi pinned ranks on officers who got promotion. On this occasion two senior police officers were promoted to post of Additional IG whereas eight officers were promoted to Designation of DIG.
Inaam ghani and Naeem Akram were promoted to Additional IG whereas the officers who were promoted to rank of DIG belonged to 21st common i. e jawad Ahmad Dogar, Imran Ahmar from 27th common, Muhammad Zubair Dareshak, Muhammad Ahsan Yunus, Rai Babar Saeed, Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta, Captain Retired Ata Muhammad and Afzal Ahamd Kosar from 28th common.
According to the details, DIG Jawad Ahmad Dogar started his career in 1993 and served in Islamabad, Punjab and different districts of KP province whereas DIG Imran Ahmar started his career in 2000 and served in Sindh, different districts of Punjab and also served in foreign countries with UN missions.
Six DIGs namely Muhammad zubair Dareshak, Muhammad Ahsan Yunus, Rai Babar Saeed, Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta, Captain Retired Ata Muhammad and Afzaal Ahmad kausar started their professional career in 2001 and served in different districts of other provinces and also Punjab.
On this occasion chief secretary Yusuf Naseem Khokhar congratulated the senior police officers on promotion whereas IG Punjab Amjad javed Saleemi said that to serve in police force for security of public is a blessing of Allah and also a huge honour for us that Almighty Allah chose us to fight against oppressors. Likewise, promotion has also enhanced your responsibilities. IG Punjab hoped that newly promoted officers will utilize their capabilities with zeal and zest to maintain law and order and protection of Public in this regard.
