With the help of modern technology Police force is being reformed on modern lines. To stop the criminal activities across the Punjab and it has been decided that a pilot project started by Lahore police will be launched across the Punjab to stop mobile phone theft and to recover stolen phones. It is expected that with the help of this App crime rate involving mobile phone will be decreased by 60%-70%.

IGP Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi expressed these views during a meeting with CCPO Lahore BA Nasir at central police office Lahore today. DIG Investigation Lahore, Inaam Waheed was also present at this occasion.

CCPO Lahore while briefing to IGP Punjab told that there was rise in mobile snatching and theft due to no check on individuals connected with business of selling/buying and repairing of mobile phones and the culprits evaded form grip of law resultantly.

To curb this crime a mobile Application has been introduced by which the dealers of this business will be registered by this App and data of buyers of cell phones, their contact numbers, cell phone model, date and photos of sellers and buyers of mobiles will be available through this App. The record of repairing of mobile will also be available through this App and selling and buying of any theft mobile or changing of IMEI number may also be identified by this App. Moreover, If any person sells theft mobile to any one, then by entering IMEI number in this App , it may identified that rather this mobile has been stolen or been used in any criminal activity.

IG Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi acknowledged the efforts of CCPO Lahore for introducing this App and said that this App will soon be provided throughout the province and effort of Lahore Police is praiseworthy in this regard.
