Modern Technology and refresher courses for the capacity building of Punjab police are my top priority: IGP

Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan said that modern Technology and refresher courses for the capacity building of Punjab police are my top priority, because the force equipped with contemporary needs can fight against latest technology used in crimes. He further said that officers and officials of Punjab police have proved their skills in every challenge with resoluteness and for the protection of public’s lives, wealth and honor they even not hesitate to sacrifice their lives.

He further said that to augment the image of my force and to fulfill the dreams of crime free Punjab, I have started emergency visits across the Punjab and giving the direction to officers’ region to region. He expressed these views at Central Police Office during meeting with Minister for Information Syed Samsam Bukhari today.

Bilateral mutual interests were discussed in the meeting. Inspector General of Police briefed Information Minister about IT based system of Punjab police. He also briefed Minister about the results derived from the projects started by Punjab Police to facilitate the people specially, IGP complaints cell 8787, Internal Accountability Bureau and Police Khidmat Marakiz. Provincial Minister for Information appreciated the services for providing the facilities to public by the help of IT and said that Ministry of Information is in cooperation with Punjab police for image building of Punjab police and I will play role to highlight positive steps taken by Punjab police on media. He assured the IGP that the cooperation of Punjab government will always be with Punjab police for the security of province and services to people.
