IG Punjab Captain (retired) Arif Nawaz Khan issued transfer/posting orders of one police officer and dismissal orders of a DSP
Inspector General Police Punjab Captain (retired) Arif Nawaz Khan issued posting orders of Muhammad Furqan Bilal as Addl SP Investigation Civil Lines Lahore while in orderly room upon public complaints a DSP was dismissed from the job. According to the details IG Punjab dismissed DSP Sher Bhadur on the charges of slackness and corruption. It is worth mentioning here that DSP was suspended and a senior officer conducted an inquiry in which DSP was found guilty of the charges and a strict punishment was suggested against the DSP. IG Punjab in the orderly room, according to the procedure again gave DSP the opportunity to explain his version and to defend himself against the charges but the said DSP failed to prove his innocence. At this occasion, IG Punjab said that Punjab Police has a strict accountability system and internal accountability system is effectively in place to achieve the best results. He further said that department ensure encouragement to the officials performing good and strict action is also taken against the officials found guilty of misconduct, corruption, and abuse of power, there is no place for the corrupt officials and officers in the department.
