IG Punjab Captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan presided an important meeting at Central Police Office
During meeting, matters about Punjab Police Recruitment Policy and other policies also reviewed and discussed.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan said that Punjab Police Recruitment Policy would be updated to recruit best talent in police force and discipline matrix issued from Central Police Office should be followed in reward and punishment of the officials. He further said that to improve the recruitment police to recruit the best talent is the need of hour so senior officers should compile suggestions in the light of their experience and mutual discussions so that these suggestions can be approved in the next meeting of Police Executive Board. He expressed these views while issuing directions to the officers in a meeting at Centeral Police Office. During meeting different projects of Punjab Police, recruitment policy and working of other departments were discussed.
During meeting officers suggested that there should be department,s own Departmental Service Board for selection of suitable candidates according to the police working and operations. Psychologists should be part of the interview panel to hire best talent and it was also suggested that the time of physical fitness running test should be increased. Officers suggested to call one third of successful candidates in written test should be called for interview and to provide equal chances to all for selection of testing service companies an open bidding should be conducted. During meeting the suggested points were discussed in detail and in next meeting of Executive Board these will be approved.IG Punjab while giving directions to the officers said that officials who are showing lexaity in their official duties should be punished according to the dsicpline matrix while if any officer is found guilty of not following the discipline matrix while punishing his subordinates must be ready for departmaental action. IG Punjab further said that Punjab Police is a disciplined force and there is no space for the reckless officers acting beyond their jurisdiction and powers. In the meeting, Addl IG R&D captain retired Zafar Iqbal Awan, Addl IG establishment Punjab captain retired Ahmad Lateef, Addl IG operations Punjab Inam Ghani, Addl IG training Punjab Tariq Masood yaseen, Addl IG welfare and finance, Rao Sardar, Addl IG PHP Manzor Sarwar Chaudary, Addl IG investigation Punjab Abu Bakar Khuda Bukhsh, Addl IG Elite Shahid Hanif, Commandant PC Farooqabad Kunwar Shah Rukh, Addl IG safe City Ali Amir Malik, CCPO Lahore BA Nasir, Addl IG Procurement Ghulam Rasool Zahid, Addl IG Traffic Farooq Mazhar, Addl IG special branch Punjab Zaeem Iqbal sheikh, and all DIGs and AIGs of the CPO along with Psychologists were present.
