On the direction of IG Punjab a fourteen day campaign has been launched to stop the accidents of dumper trucks.

During the campaign, scrutiny of documents of dumper trucks, completion of records and awareness about traffic laws will be given.

On the direction of IGP Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan, a two week special campaign has been launched to stop the road accidents of dumper trucks and checking of these trucks so that precious lives of people may be saved by controlling traffic accidents. As per the orders of IGP Punjab, Additional IG Traffic Police Punjab Muhammad Farooq Mazhar has directed to traffic in charge of all the districts that to maintain the records of dumper trucks and drivers in their respective districts and give them awareness of traffic laws. He also directed to scrutinize the documents, license and root permit, specially fitness and physical certificates of all the dumper trucks and oil tankers which are registered from Punjab or any other province but are plying in the jurisdiction of Punjab and strict action should be taken against these dumper trucks if not found up to the mark.  During the special campaign, monitoring teams have been directed that cases should registered against rash drivers and if needed then their licenses and routes permit should got cancelled. Moreover, Traffic Police Punjab has been ordered that it should send detailed report of special campaign up till 3rd October. In this regard, Additional IG traffic police Punjab has directed to owners of vehicles to get the license of their drivers scrutinized and also get them checked medically before handing over their vehicles to them so that dangerous accidents should be controlled and precious lives and wealth of people might be saved.
